Engraved drinks glasses
We will engrave glasses to order with patterns, names and messages. All our pattern work is freehand and as such is largely as unique as a fingerprint. Names and messages can be cut in too for those who have a favourite glass or drink. Images can also be cut to make the glass as personal as possible.
There are of course limitations when it comes to images. We cannot for example reproduce a photograph or pictures with very close detail and shading. So pictures are mainly limited to line work, you can see a few examples in the window opposite. When ordering a personalised glass we will send an email to confirm any text information and the picture we will cut in, so we can be sure we are doing exactly what you want.
House names, numbers and door plaques
We offer bespoke house names and numbers to order. These can comes in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, finishes and styles. We have made all sorts from large wall mounted boards, themed door names and even smaller logs which sit in borders and flower beds.
We offer a range of finishes and styles. For outdoor signs the most popular is to have the text cut in with a router and then painted. This keeps the writing bold and easy to read in any weather. On smaller signs we can burn the text in to give it a soft rustic look, but the burnt finish is not very well suited to outdoors in our experience. We can also paint on the text for a more standard look. Finally there is block letter as an option which maintains and bold look and an nice effect under lighting, which lends itself best to interior situations.
Picture frames
We can offer framing and frame embellishment for you treasured pictures. The most popular is the wooden disc frame which is made up and then covered with discs from various timbers. We can include particular items into the frame, for example seashells, if you have some which you would like to be included. These frames are a great way to have something a little different on the wall.
We have also made solid sided rustic frames which have a pleasant look akin to timber framing styles. These can provide the opportunity to use some more unusual timbers or pieces of wood recovered from furniture.
Bespoke and special orders
We can also work with custom designs and styles. We have made several bespoke items for customers before using specific materials or made to a particular style. We have made small memorials before using items that the customer wanted to be included due to their highly personal nature. In such situations we work closely with the customer to ensure that the end product will meet the expectations. We are always happy to talk over designs or options to make sure we can provide exactly what you have in mind.
